Kitchen Gear

Sea kayaking is the best human powered activity for backcountry cooking. The kayaks have so much space that while we want our systems to be compact, we’re not too concerned about weight. As such, we send out high quality kitchenware that is robust and easy to clean. Our kitchen is chosen to compliment the needs of our menu.

Highlights

Stoves – we send out a two burner Coleman propane stove in a waterproof dry bag with a 5lb propane tank (+ one 1lb spare) and an MSR Dragonfly stove with two containers of white gas. This is usually used during day trips.

Pot Set – Calphalon pots with a huge frying pan. They are thick, hold their heat in the wilderness and are easy to clean.

Cutlery – Browne high end restaurant grade fork/knife/spoon per person

Plates & Bowls – Zac melamine… takes a beating and are easy to clean

Stainless Steel Cups – Paderno double walled stainless steel mugs. The best we’ve found for morning tea and coffee. No burned lips.

Wine Cups – Lexan wine cups
