Our fleet is primarily composed of Seaward Passat G3 double kayaks with a center hatch, and Seaward and Current Designs single kayaks. The Passats are incredibly fast and stable, especially when loaded with gear. They are the sea kayak guiding industry standard on the west coast of Canada. The Seawards are manufactured just over an hour from our house and they are an excellent company to work with. Seaward still believes in old school craftsmanship and their sea kayaks are extremely well made for open ocean paddling and very comfortable.
Of course you also get a properly fitted Canadian Coast Guard approved PFD (personal flotation device) with a whistle. All kayaks are equipped with rescue gear. If you have a group of 10, we recommend 3 doubles and 4 singles to accommodate our gear system. Anyone using a single has to be able to self rescue. We recommend that you share the singles amongst the group. The Passat G3’s make you feel like you’re in a single.
Guests always appreciate that they get to use a bent-shaft fibreglass Werner Paddle on our trips. We were the first outfitter to offer premium Werner Paddles in 2000.
