The Deer Group is an island archipelago in Barkley Sound that starts at the end of the Alberni Inlet and ends by Bamfield. You can see the Broken Group Islands when we kayak in Imperial Eagle channel. The Deer Group is not as popular as the BGI but has its own unique charm and treasures. We really like it here. There are scores of sea arches and sea caves to discover. The birdlife is excellent and the intertidal viewing is wonderful.
